Student Discount :
Students who decide to sign up for freediving training within 1 week of this course with DS will receive a 10% off their Basic Freediving Course and 10% off their mask and snorkel purchase!
Equipment Rental :
Diving Sports includes all freediving gear for your pool experience. Mask, fins and snorkel and wetsuits are considered personal items in diving but DS does include these for Discover Scuba so students can experience a high quality product before committing to purchasing.
Transportation :
Transport can be provided from our shop to the dive site. We have our shop van (limited to a 6 passenger maximum capacity). Available passenger places in the shop van will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Cancellations :
Any divers needing to reschedule their Discover Freediving will be able to do so without penalty up until 4 days prior to excursion. If divers are needing to cancel or reschedule their Discover Freediving less than 4 days prior to the excursion they will lose the deposit on the event.
Course Description
This is program is designed as an experience only program and is not intended to teach specific skills or provide certification. A respect for the safety and problem management of freediving should be relayed as well as an appreciation an excitement for furthering a participant’s education in a proper full certification program.
Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to show and give examples of the benefits, skills, techniques and safety & problem management for all facets of freediving and to provide an experience with basic level static apnea to a maximum of 2:00min and/or a dynamic apnea of 25m / 82 ft.

We begin by scheduling our courses with the number of classes it typically takes most students to master the knowledge and skills, then adapt and tailor our schedule to fit our individual student’s needs. Our instructors are open and honest about your progress during each part of the course. Students may need to schedule additional pool or ocean training dives prior to certification. This ensures our students complete their courses with all the skills and knowledge they need to be safe and enjoy their future dives and courses.
