Students who decide to sign up for scuba training within 1 week of this course with DS will receive a 10% off their PADI Open Water Course and 10% off their mask and snorkel purchase!
Equipment Rental :
The Discover Scuba Diving experience is for anyone who wishes to experience Scuba Diving without needing to commit to purchasing an entire certification course or any equipment. Diving Sports can supply all of the necessary equipment (including mask and snorkel) to divers who require it, however we know that there are many people with some of their own personal equipment such as a mask and snorkel or a wetsuit. If you have any of your own gear, you may select what you have, and what you need to include in the rentals, for a discounted rate.
Transportation :
Transport can be provided from our shop to the dive site. We have our shop van (limited to a 6 passenger maximum capacity). Available passenger places in the shop van will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Cancellations :
Any divers needing to reschedule their Discover Scuba Dive will be able to do so without penalty up until 4 days prior to excursion. If divers are needing to cancel or reschedule their Discover Scuba less than 4 days prior to the excursion they will lose the deposit on the event.
A quick and easy introduction by Diving sports Canada in Vancouver into what it takes to explore the underwater world. Although this is not a scuba certification course, you'll learn all the steps it takes to be a PADI certified diver.
Prerequisites for Discover Scuba Diving
If the diver physical condition is not approved by the medical or a physician by the evening of the Discover Scuba, no refund will be available for that particular event.
Course Description
The Discover Scuba is a great opportunity for any potential divers who aren't sure if SCUBA is for them. The Discover Scuba, or DSD, includes an in-person classroom orientation to go over some introductory scuba knowledge and familiarization with the gear we will be using. This is followed by a pool session where we go over some basic scuba skills and practice swimming underwater! We include all the equipment including masks and snorkels for the DSD, although students who wish to proceed to the full open water course will need to purchase their own for the remaining pool and ocean dives. Students who decide to sign up for the full Open Water course within 1 week of their DSD with Diving Sports will receive 10% off the course and 10% off their purchase of mask and snorkel!

Prior to signing up, we encourage everyone to look over the Diver Medical Form to make sure they will be cleared to dive.
