Howe Sound Boat Dives | Scuba Diving & Boat Charter from Vancouver
Join our Howe Sound Boat Dive adventure and explore some of British Columbia’s best cold-water dive sites — from wrecks and pinnacles to vibrant marine life. These trips are perfect for certified divers looking for a fun and safe day exploring the local underwater world with Diving Sports Canada.
We’re proud to offer mixed boat charters, welcoming both scuba divers and freedivers to share the experience of diving in Howe Sound together.
Meeting Options:
- 7:30 AM: Meet at Diving Sports Canada – 4578 Main St, Vancouver (includes transportation)
- 8:30 AM: Meet directly at the dock in Horseshoe Bay
What’s Included:
- Round-trip transportation from Diving Sports Canada to Horseshoe Bay (limited seating)
- 2 boat dives in Howe Sound
- 2 air tanks
- Weights for both dives
- Hot drinks and snacks onboard
- Professional dive guide
What’s Not Included:
- Rental Equipment – Reserve your rental gear here
- Meals and personal dive accessories
Diving in a Drysuit?
To rent or dive in a drysuit, you must have a valid drysuit certification. If you’re new to drysuit diving, complete our PADI Drysuit Specialty Course before joining this trip.
Requirements to Join:
- Advanced Open Water certification (minimum)
- At least 15 cold-water dives, with one within the last 12 months
- Drysuit certification required if using a drysuit
- Minimum age: 15 years
Technical Divers:
- Advanced Nitrox / Deco Procedures or PADI Tec 45 certification
- Minimum 10 recent technical dives in cold water
- Bring your own dive buddy (may not be assigned)
Freedivers:
- Certified to a minimum depth of 20 meters
- Minimum 15 cold-water dives (one within last 6 months)
Transportation:
Limited space available in our 7-passenger van from the shop to Horseshoe Bay. Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis — please request transport during booking.
Trip Flow & Meeting Time:
- 7:30 AM: Meet at Diving Sports Canada if using transportation
- 8:30 AM: Meet at Horseshoe Bay dock
- 9:00 AM: Boat departs for first dive site
- 10:00 AM: First dive (45–60 mins)
- 11:30 AM: Surface interval with snacks and hot drinks
- 12:30 PM: Second dive (45–60 mins)
- 2:00 PM: Return to dock, gear offload
- 3:30–4:00 PM: Return to Diving Sports Canada
