Our Technical Training Mindset :
Our first and foremost goal is to create competent, safe, and knowledgeable divers who are truly capable of independently diving with a similarly-certified buddy, without the supervision or help of a guide.
What is Included in the Course :
Diving Sports includes the price of tuition, the scheduled class dates and 3 days of diving (2 dives each day), and certification fees. Students are responsible for their own equipment and enriched gas fills. Manuals, eLearning, or both will be added on afterwards depending on student preference.
Equipment Requirements :
Students are required to be proficient diving with 2 Primary cylinders, either backmounted doubles or sidemount, before the start of the course. Students will be required to have appropriate cylinders for decompression mixes with oxygen cleaned regulators. All Advanced Wreck Divers are required to dive with 50%-100% decompression mixes.
Who is this course for?
Advanced Wreck Diver is a challenging and fulfilling course. It is about finding your personal best as a diver. We personally believe this course strengthens people as divers. If there is one course that students continue to talk about long after the course is over, it is the Advanced/Technical Wreck Diver Course.
The course aims provide the knowledge and experience divers need to conduct advanced wreck dives with confidence and with a higher level of safety. This course goes beyond the entry level SDI Wreck course and teaches you how to properly plan exploratory wreck dives using line for navigation, extra cylinders for safety and decompression, and safety drills in case of emergency.
What You Will Learn:
Topics covered include the dangers of the overhead environment, buoyancy control, equipment configuration with a high emphasis on equipment streamlining, awareness in an overhead environment, different finning techniques and multi cylinder gas management for long wreck penetrations.
The diving portion consists of a number of confined-water skills work-up dives. These dives establish the students' buoyancy, trim, configuration and comfort of their equipment. This will lead to the students second set of dives aimed at helping to achieve proficiency in completing a number of timed task-loading skills while on or in the wreck
